Course Outline

The advanced senior mental health lead training course covers all 8 principles recommended by Public Health England. Designed by our team of Psychologists, who specialise in supporting schools, Senior Mental Health Leads can gain expert advice and support on implementing a whole school approach to mental health, supporting both the students and the staff. 

You'll gain access to peer support, practical insights, and activities to help consolidate your existing knowledge and experience and support the development of a sustainable strategy for mental health and wellbeing in school.

Evaluate your current provision, create an action plan, access resources, and implement solutions to support the wellbeing of your whole school community  Our coaching support and online platform, EduPod, will empower you to confidently take the strategic lead, work efficiently, and evaluate the impact of your mental wellbeing strategy.

We provide wrap-around support so you can have access to experts, peer support, and resources you need to successfully implement the eight principles to create a sustainable whole school approach to mental health beyond the training course.

Who is this training for?

The advanced course is for Senior Mental Health Leads established in their role who have completed comprehensive Senior Mental Health Leadership training, from schools nationally, primary & secondary, special schools and alternative provisions.

Our senior mental health lead training is suitable for any staff member designated as the mental health lead, including:

  • Headteachers
  • Deputy Heads
  • SENCOs
  • Pastoral leads
  • Safeguarding lead
  • Other senior leadership positions

Delivery Methods

Due to the advanced nature of this course, we currently only offer Online Live Training, delivered via Zoom, 1 day of training from 8:45am to 3:00pm.
